Witnesses and Troubleakers

By Richard French

Literary fiction | eBook

"Witnesses and Troublemakers" explores the impact of wars in two different centuries and the battle against a pernicious cult in the recent past on the lives of people involved with them. A third of the novel consists of conversations between a native man and an English colonist about a war in the 17th century that influenced both of them. One purpose of the novel is to affirm a bedrock tenet of our culture -- that life often brings relief after a period of intense misery. This is the fourth in a five-part series of novels called "Witnesses".

Richard French is an American who's been in Canada for more than 25 years. He now lives and writes in Toronto. He's uploaded 14 long works of fiction to kindle direct publishing and is at work on another novel now. His themes include warfare and recovery, crisis and healing, America's heritage, the 17th century, family life, and the challenges of leadership. Because he has been a pastor with the Lutheran Church-Canada for as long as he's been in the country, the Christian faith also plays a role in his stories.
