The Pheasant

By Bob Looker

Action & adventure, Historical fiction | Paperback, eBook

When Churchill set up the British Resistance Movement during WWII it was realised that they needed a leader to command the Auxiliary groups if the government was forced to leave the country. They could not be from the forces or secret services so they had to find someone who had no connections. The man they found was a young farm worker. He was put to a test and passed. His story was told to his grandson when he asked "What did you do in the war granddad?"

Bob Looker was born in Winchester but grew up in a small village in the South Downs of East Sussex. At the age of 16 he joined the army and for the next 23 years travelled the world. He uses life experiences to bring his stories to life.
