By Shelly Meyer

Women's fiction | Paperback, eBook

What if you wrote a letter to a movie star and got a response, but not the response you were expecting? “The Letter” is based around Sarah Miller, a 40-year-old divorcee who writes a charming letter to a famous film star, Andrew Collier. Andrew is quite intrigued by Sarah’s letter that he has to meet her. After they meet, he quickly finds he is falling for her, and she for him. The problem: Sarah is on the verge of beginning a relationship with a man she has cared deeply for, for quite some time, Chris Keller. Despite the obstacles with the media, Andrew’s co-star, Karen Steele, Chris’s jealousy, lies and deceit, and a few break-ups, Andrew and Sarah, and their friends and family, are certain they belong together. Can they overcome all of the hurdles they are faced with in such a short amount of time?

Shelly Meyer has been in love with writing since she first picked up a pen and paper. At an early age, she began writing poetry and short stories and was constantly scribbling notes and ideas at every opportunity. She still has dozens of unfinished stories in boxes that she says she will one day "get to". In high school, Shelly found a deep passion for teen romance novels, then moved on to adult romance. Later on, she branched out to different genres, like Anne Rice and even James Patterson. Her true passion has always been romance, so, in 2000, she began writing "Portland Authority". It was published in 2005. In 2008, she began writing "The Letter". In December of 2011, she completed it and started looking for a way to get it published. It is now published on Amazon and she couldn't be happier. Shelly is currently working on a book in a completely different genre. Shelly lives in a Denver, Colorado suburb with her family.
